Hi there,
Up for sale is my 1973 Hillman Avenger historic rally car. I had planned to compete in 10 rounds of nescro rallies this year in this car and have spent the last 8 months putting a lot of time and effort into the car to make it mint. However i have been offered 2 very good mechanics jobs, and it seems extremely unlikely that i will be getting out rallying myself this year. Thus I have made the decision to sell the Avenger and buy a practical diesel for everyday driving.
I have done a lot of work to this car in the last 8 months and it really is a turn key go rally car as it stands now.
On its, and my first event out (doonhamer classic) we won it, the 2nd was cockermouth revival and had we not had a navigational error (wrong test) we would have been 3rd overall out of over 50 cars, setting 2nd fastest time on the last test and 3rd fastest time on a couple of others. So it goes to show that even with an unexperienced driver this is a very quick car indeed.
I have included the original advert from when I purchased the car and a detailed list of all the things I have done and parts that have gone into the car. Simply adding up the cost of the parts will get you to £15k no problems, if you wanted to purchase an escort in as good a condition and preparation as this you would easily be into the 15-20k area. I am really a perfectionist and have put many hours into this car making it absolutely mint. If you have any doubts come and see the car, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Lots of pictures available at s867.photobucket.com/home/feeling_impish there are also a lot of pictures of previous projects, so if you have any doubt as to the standard of my preparation then please have a flick through. Videos of the car in action:
The shell is rot free and in excellent order, if you have any questions please ring me on 07896034136 or email me at feeling_impish@live.co.uk
Price £6000
Thanks for looking
Sam

Still in its original factory colour majenta (pink) if its not to your taste paint it yellow as it will make a fantastic tiger replica as it still has its twin head light front panel and grill.
