Yes! ;D, so Friday after work I'm off to Sunny Stoke on Trent to see Mr Richard Jones to get my bellhousing and rear cross member. Then Sat to Newmarket to get a starter motor and engine mounts. So T-Pieces, fuel hose, and hose clips are about all I need now before I can get to work. Must get my camera sorted too. Still no sign of my clutch however, and I really need that , or my rear springs.... Maybe today, finger crossed. It WILL be ready for CARS (he says in ernest)

Winner - I'm told my rear wheel bearings and brake parts for the back of my van have just arrived back at Autohausdolby towers so I'm stumbling closer to a test on my van as well

Cool, its all coming together ;D Just need some rear springs for mine too - perhaps I should just splash out on a full -45mm kit?

Get in contact with Jokerdub Dave, seriously good kits on offer from him. Are you planning subaru power as well DD?, if you are, go -45mm, otherwise I'd plump for -60mm. Either way you should really do your shocks too, get some AVO adjustables on there, they're superb and after the engine, my next upgrade.

I found the 45mm springs made no chuffin difference whatsoever - go for the 60s all round. Having said that, different vans go down by different amounts, it depends what you've got inside

Mmm - i'm starting to think the best compromise would be -45mm at the front & -60 on the rear. The front of mine doesn't look to far off what i'd like (being a Whitestar it already has -30 springs) Where as the arch gap on the rear by comparison looks huge. The current stance looks good on my current 16" Ronals but I think its going to look a bit 'gangly' on the 18s I plan to fit - despite the o/a tyre dia being the same. I thought that buying some rear springs might be a temporary fix until I could afford a complete kit cappuccinocruiser - if I do any engine conversion it would be for a 1.9td engine from a MK3 Golf/Passat (is that the AAZ or AZZ?) With an intercooler to pep up the performance. Mines already a 1.6td so its virtually a straight swap. For me if you can increase the performance of a T25 so that it will maintain a happy 80mph & return good fuel economy (at lower speeds perhaps) Then its a worthwhile conversion. Spending any more money making a van go even faster (unless you are drag racing) I think would be money better spent on something else that will go round bends & be enjoyable to drive in a 'spirited' manner. BTW gotta get your camera fixed/working asap so that you can show us your collection of shiney new bits

AAZ is a good conversion, if I had a diesel, I'd go that route too. I use my van a LOT, so I need modern "turn key" reliable, a modern FI lump is the best way to do that, I also live near a lot of hills and love driving to places with hills in them, so the torque will be welcomed. I'll come and take you for a spin some time after its done. Infact, you'll prob see it at CARS

Just come back Got the bellhousing, looking at the CD-Rom (inc with the bell housing) now, interesting reading, very large but an amazing ammount of depth. Richard took me and Drew out in the Syncro with a 2.5 quad cam in, I'm still ;D now. I've made the right choice, simple as that. Buying a camera tommorow, will do some pics and report back to you.
