What you really want is a 309 Better handling than its baby brother Or you want a proper LHD 205 Rallye ;D seriously lightweight 1300 oversquare screamer on twin webers with very very lightweight interior and no sh1te at all on it..... The steels it came on were a lot lighter than the Alloys too They had lightweight carpets and doorcards FFS which shows you how serious they were Quicker and purer to drive than the GTI..... but the UK spec one was just a povo spec with some stickers and a boggo 1300 engine..... not the same beast at all You need the French one ;D.... Task for Mr B on garlicBay

Loads of my mates have them. One has an MI16 one and its fast. They all handle very well and look cool especially on black 1.9 speedlines. Buy a red one by far the best colour for them. Look for rot where the rear quater panel meets the sill especially in the door shut as they rot there.

tom in da house: Right, i'm thinkin about gettin a..........What's with all this "getting this & that car" from ya? ? Get your s*it togheter and put all your ££££££ into that Volvo Amazon Sled of yours, it's got more potential than any "Barry Boy Car" in the world!!!!!!! Seriously what can be cooler than cruising along in a chopped, suede Volvo sled on a saturday run to Donken (Mc Donalds in Swedish), I can't see why you don't get serious about getting it back to it's coolness.... Here in Stockholm there's a waiter (and friend) at a verry posh Italian Trattoria who owns one of the verry few 205 T 16 mid engine cars that made it out on the roads, it's black with black BBS rims, tinted windows (not my taste) and during the summer it's his daily driver along with a Bimota Tesi, the dude has taste...... DP says: Back to the Amazon!!!!!!!

I love them.
Had a 1.6 309 SRi, and for a short time, a 1.6 205 GTi, loved em both.
Great cars, just don't "style" them, as they are bang on from the factory.
1.9 alloys are cooler than 1.6 alloys, and the could do with a bit of a mild blow with "the stick", but do it right, don't skimp on a cheap kit, cos you'll ruin it.
As Mr Nike would say, "Just Do It (tm)"
