wheres a good place to buy standard beetle parts from? i need an accelerator pedal since mines a bit on the dangerous side.
and i know i could get one from the scrappy but i don't recall the local one having any beetles

just ordered the parts from vwheritage.com. wish id found them before i posted this. now i feel silly. got some covers for the pedals as well since the golf failed the mot on this last year.

failed mot on slippy pedals? crikey, that's one strict tester! VWHeritage are good for decent quality original parts.... GSF are better in a sort of 'drop in' way and stock quite a few of the regular items on the shelves, but aren't as clued up on the aircooled stuff a lot of the time. M7 have a website full of shiny things i can't afford

he told me since the golf was designed to have rubber pedals it needed them to pass the mot. even he seemed to think it was a bit silly but i guess he was just doing his job. i know hes a nice chap and not a con artist. what narked me was the fact that i took them off in the first place then threw them away cos they were tatty.
not taking the chance with the buggy. it MUST pass in time for CARS.

i was told i needed it on the brake and clutch. i assume for emergency stops without stalling.
he also said that if they were designed without rubber then it wasnt needed. i assume ones without rubber have some sort of anti slip coating or else that rule is curse word
