I bought this about 2 months ago as a winter daily, for which it has served me well, never let me down even when we had over a foot of snow. Only reason for selling is since I broke a bone in my hand its not been right since and I really need something easier to drive, I.e with power steering. It had a load of work done on it before I got it, I don't have receipts for, but most of it is quite obvious. Work I know of is as follows;
New head gasket, head bolts, new gaskets, new coolant, new oil, filter, plugs, leads, dizzy cap, alternator, and clutch. Like I say most of this is has quite obviously been done, as a result the car is mechanically sound as a pound. Since owning it I've had to change the clocks as the rev counter and backlights refused to work (I did try changing bulbs), however as a result of me fitting clocks from a newer car the temperature guage reads upside down, not a problem for me as I knew it never overheated before and I know how it should read on the new clocks, I think fitting a temp sender from a newer model will cure this though.
It has a few battle scars from being used as a workhorse before my ownership and a bit of surface rust on the rear arches and bootlid, and a rattling exhaust shield. Can't think of anything else wrong with it.
On the plus side it is a top of the range Felicia so has central locking, rev counter, velour interior, centre console, sunroof and front foglights. Also the heater is pretty awesome! I'm after £300ono which I think is fair enough for a VAG based winter runner with plenty of life left in it, I just need something easier to drive and maybe a bit bigger (I regularly ferry the missus and 3 kids around in it).
Heres a couple of pics I took just after I bought it so it was covered in road salt. The P slots AREN't on it now, they belong to my beloved mk2 golf! Its now on standard steelies, which I have some rather fetching wheel trims for
