It just does stuff which makes you smile *that* smile. For me, coming over the hump back bridge the back route into the village in a big 80s RWD full frame Cadillac - you know how its going to go, the long nose rises up, the tipping point as over you go and down, down, down, the front springs compress, the tail rises as the rear wheels reach the crest of the hump, the springs quickly overcome the front shockers raising the nose of the car again as the rear end is now on the downhill run... There's just this fluid motion of the ocean. Makes me grin every time. The one on the way out of Loughborough up the A60 is a WIN too. That's like being on a really luxurious roller coaster. You know you have the right car when... The MOT man looks at your car before you drive it in and says it's gonna fail cause it's rusty and looks rough as a badgers bum and you just smile and say I don't care, I'm gonna fix it !!That sort of put him on his back foot this morning so he didn't see half of what i did Still failed but not too badly ;D ;D |

i get that smile when i take the mini out and everything is working sweet as a nut, makes all the blood sweat and tears seem worthwhile

Last time I got that smile was after putting £20 of petrol in and getting over half a tank ;D Also got that smile when it was deep in snow and I was going where all the modern cars couldnt (and some 4x4s too ) also while being toasty warm, listening to 'in the bleak mid winter' and driving round country lanes in the snow |

You know you have the right car when, you get out of it walk about 5 paces and turn to look back at it. I do this just about every time I leave the car somewhere. It still makes me smile every time.
