Triumphs ailing dynamo has finally given up the ghost. Ripped the downpipe in half beaching on snow piling up in the middle of the road
DAFs seems to have come through fairly lightly, Drivers door seal has detached itself from the door and the horn stopped working. Now working again though

Dinged a wheel drifting the S100 about, but it was a steelie, so local tyre place beat it straight for me for a £5. GF's Rover 420 diesel needed its glowplugs below -8 so had to get a relay from Maplins and make that fit. Other then that, all good

Driving around in the snow with the front splitter acting as a plough has damaged the grill and undertray on the MX-5, but the grill should bend back, and the undertray's not bad and should zip-tie back together just fine. Other than that and poor fuel consumption caused by struggling up hills in the snow and everyone in front of me driving erratically it's been spot on.

my wine gums have become harder to chew after being in the amazon and the towball has gone a bit shiny on the frontera from pulling moderns about, and I've had to fill the screenwash twice in the octavia, the casualty part will come if we don't get enough rain to wash all the salt away before I get the amazon out again

I spun the Lada before we had any snow! (Wet roundabout, too much power) I hit a traffic island and dented a wheel, but I have a bad feeling more is wrong. Does the left front look further back to anyone else?

The E21 stayed in it's box after I'd put the new oil pump and sump on; got it back from my workshop the day before the big snow hit London. My Poor R8 Rover 200 had to stay in an open-fronted shelter (having been kicked out because of the work on the Bimmer), as no battery in it meant pushing it back into my workshop with an ice rink on the ground was a no-no. With no front bumper or lights on it. And a K-series. And -6 on the yard thermometer. Got down with the E21 after the thaw, stuck a battery on it and... Started first time, warmed up and temperature assumed it's usual place dead on halfway (and stayed there, even after running the engine for 20 minutes), one relieved Amazo. Thanks god for all-year antifreeze. the casualty part will come if we don't get enough rain to wash all the salt away before I get the amazon out again Time to buy a jetwash. Did the underside of my car today with mine, peace of mind and all that.

The Riva behaved itself impeccably, despite having nowhere near enough anti-freeze in it The only real damage came from a Hilux sliding into the back of it during teh snowzz, mangling the corner of one rear wing and twisting the back panel. PITA but not really a big deal I guess.

I don't know yet, my Vitesse has been sitting under a sheet in the garage, i've been switching on the charger/optimiser every couple of days, and its still showing green, so all should be okay. Hopefully get it out next week. It did drop to - 14 in the garage 2 weeks ago.

I dislodged the sump on the Polo and it started leaking. Filled it with 20w50 and it was fine, but then put smaller tyres on yesterday and hit it again so now need a new gasket lol.

Does the left front look further back to anyone else? Maybe but its imposible to say from a photo. What you need to do is make sure both wheels are pointing straight ahead, then find a known straight point (a cross member or whatever) and measure from the back of the wheel to the known straight point. Take several readings to allow for slightly different radius of tyres, innacurate measurement, etc. Its not 100% or foolproof but it will give you an idea cheaper than a lazer alignment or jig job will.

Count Pandamonium:
It does look a little out in the photo's, but it's hard to tell just from pictures.
Assuming you know the rear axles strait and in place then just measuring the wheelbase on each side should show up the difference easily enough.

Actually, I think the left wheel is just slightly pointing outwards, giving the illusion of being out of line, so I'll get the tracking done first.
