sounds immobiliser related if it cranks but doesnt fire.

3 pedals indeed, it has a clutch and gearbox, pretty sure its not an immobiliser fault. 2 keys and both work the same and the key light on the dash goes off when ignition tured on. Advised its the cranks sensor but I don't car... its FWD and gay in my books. It's been replaced by an R34 Skyline already.

I'd try bump starting it first,especially if it's crank sensor related as that usually gets it going at least.another quickie is to find the fuel pump inertia switch,if that's popped up you won't be going anywhere and when the code says "lean" that's fuel related in my book.

Love the skyline comment but that Micra is a total giveaway!!!

One more very quick idea,I had one of these in before as the boot was filling with water quite badly.turned out to be the old dear had bumped it,only at about 2mph and it had split the seam sealer below the rear light.the boot literally had an inch of water in it.

Just thinking with the snow has it run into the boot somewhere causing a poor earth to the fuel pump?if you remove the earth point to the rear lights on a Ka it prevents the car from starting in the same way as that due to the fuel pump getting no earth.

Just a few ideas.
