Cool project. The pic of the engine in the engine bay definetley shows why putting alternative engines in 100es is impossible without chopping.

bookmarked. Have been close over the years to putting a B6 or a BP motor into many different cars, great to see someone doing it.

MX5 motor and transmission is a great swap for all kinds of cars and there's literally 1000s of mods to hop up the motor.

Maybe you know this already, but if the shifter is too far back it's possible to modify the top mounting thingy so the shifter is 100mm/4" further forward. Might make all the difference to you. The following URL is from a local bloke that did just that for his Sprite:

Cool Project, MX5 engine realy becoming popular alternative to the zetec swap, as kent engines are so expensive and becoming hard to find.and Mazda engine is more reliable.

should slap a turbo on the side of it aswell fella looks a nice conversion, really want to drop the 2 litre out of the latest mx5 into a minor and turbo that, would make such a quick car
