Model: 316i 4 door Saloon
Year:1991 J-Reg
Condition- This car has some surface rusting around the rear arch and has a few light dings and scratches. The drivers seat is slightly worn and both front windows do not work (Unsure as to why but probably motors). One hydraulic tappit sticks sometimes. Needs an oil flush and change and will cure it. Had a cambelt at around 120k and has been owned by a friend for a while. The lights have had a tinting spray applied which can be removed with some white spirits I believe. The car has been debadged on rear just needs glue removing properly. I've had this car about a month just as a run around until the tax ran out. The tax is now out just after I have MOT'ed it so i'm going to sell it and use the money to fix my subaru pick up. I advise viewing the car as with little work it will make somebody a very nice bmw.
Mileage: 132,000 Miles

I had a Rover 600 which passed its MoT last year with a non working drivers door window....

Can I ask how a car with non working windows passed the mot...... "There must be not less than one window on each side of the passenger compartment. All windows must have handles or switches and all windows must be able to be opened fully." You ever had it checked? Can't recall that I have in 6 years of MOT'ing all sorts.

to be honest mate i've never had it checked. in the last few years i've had many MOT's conducted and it has never been checked. I'm 99% sure it will be a simple motor swap but unfortunetly i haven't had time to strip the door panels off and look. both rear windows do open fully so i've just had the drivers rear window open when needed.
Cheers

As long as the doors open from the outside so in the event of a acident the fire brigade can get you out/acsess.windows are not a testable item.

Every year my mot tester checks them, and so did the previous mot tester. Then change your MOT tester . GLWTS.

Ignore the pernickety (and inaccurate) rivet-counters, this is a bargain. A lad at work's got one the same age, he bought it as a bit of a snotter to run into the ground for a few months, four years later it's got over 200k on it and just flew through yet another MOT. Were it not for wanting a 50mpg dizzler to commute in I'd have your hand off.
GLWTS. ;D

I hope it sells, and it should at that price. That said, it might be a wise idea to change the price in the main title as it still looks like it's £275 on the main 'for sale' board.
GLWS.

Thanks guys, it does have a few minor things I've mentioned but tis still a great car, drives like new and had that BMW well made feel. I have updated the listing with new price and added that it has tax. If i didn't need the cash to do my subaru i would keep it. But my suby comes first! BUMP!
