A mate of mine in the motor trade just mentioned another garage he does some work for has a Y reg Sierra automatic in pale blue. This car is a one owner low miles FSH car which was owned by a doctor who always had it services at this garage until he didn't want it any more and it got left there. Now the auto box has no drive. Apparently it is mint, no rust anywhere and a like new interior. All stock.
As its in the trade it won't be free but I'm told its available for "not a lot" if any one wants it. Sound like the sort of car which will end up in a steel cube.
I don;t know anything about spec or what engine (I presume a 2.0 though?) but if anyone is genuinely interested I can find out more info and pass on his phone number.

Bo11ox to the rescue?
Sounds a peach. Am i right that an auto trans tunnel could be an investment for upgrades, although it sounds ace as standard.
do you not fancy it as a daily yourself?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Sierras don't really do a lot for me to be honest, but I know they have a following so I'd mention it here. I'm still trying ot work out how the hell I can get my mits on that Interceptor so I am not going to get distracted unless something really "me" was wafted under my nose.
Sierra sounds like too nice a car to let get vandalised and scrapped (its now been moved outside and "dumped in the yard" at the garage). I think you're right that Fords usually have a larger tans tunnel on automatics but not sure if this includes the Sierra. It must be one of the first ones on a Y?
"not even any brown on the rear wheel arches" I am told.
I haven't seen it so I don't know much more

shame with sierras, probably been said many times before, but it is one of those cars that have all but dissapeared overnight. my father in laws mint 1.8 gl was written off by the insurance company after having the bumper cracked in a car park knock, then the cheeky sods gave him £150 for it!

It sounds far too good to die. what about that lad who nearly bought that 3 door?
I don't really think there is a following they still fail to sell on ebay sometimes. I ended up with my 2 randomly really. Lot of potential for few quids and the slippery shell helps with economy and performance a bit.

Out of the office this week! Sounds excellent, I'd decided to go for a mk1 this time, then ended up buying my bro's Sapphire... WHY do these things always turn up when I've just sold one car and replaced it? Anyway, would probably be worth sticking details on the FSOC forum. I can't get oop north before the beginning of July. Bl00dy work / exams / money...
