On the Sunday of May day bank holiday weekend (last week), friend and I went on Land Rover run from Land Rover factory in Solihull to Gaydon motor museum.
Arrive for start at Soilhull factory
On the run
Parked up at Gaydon
Some others of various sorts
^This was used in Suez crises in 1950'S
^Ask 'kwik fit' to change these! ;D
Local military had a display as well
Inside museum:
^'Split away' MGB GT (...too much rust? ;D)
Austin 7hp ...not an Austin Se7en but a forerunner with a single cylinder engine of about 1910 (actual Seven didn't appear till approx. 1922), this sort of car I really like
^ Road Rover ...forerunner to the Range Rover, only about 9 were built (although I do recall Corgi did a model).
Back outside:
Pink Panther
and:
^later 'pinkie' version
Yet again a fantastic day (go every year)
