Wouldn't say it's changed me as such, but it has made me think that with the right alterations, pretty much ANY (older?) car can be cool. Even old 5 door faded red Corsas.....! The acceptance of anything is what counts, people are really close-minded nowadays like that MK3 Cortina (?) club only for completely standard cars, that summed it up nicely.

the forum hasnt changed my views about owning or liking older cars. like others have said theyve been re inforced and broadened.i too have taken fancy to bozu and donk style cars. what the forum has done is introduce me to some rather cool people who id never have met otherwise.

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

RETRO-RIDES HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!!! ;D Ah, hang on, I'll calm down now! I've only been here for a month or so but it has certainly been an interesting month. I too didn't really know about some of the more obscure (J-tin, French etc) branches of this whole old car community. I am and will always be into rods and customs but have always considered myself a general gearhead and the narrow mindedness of most of the hot-rodding community really bugs me. This place is great 'cos I feel everyone is just into cars. We all have our preferences (50's / 60's BMC )but can appreciate what other people are doing. And it's given my enthusiasm a real kick up the to see so many people of my generation playing about with all this old stuff and sharing ideas and solutions.

I don't think I've been here long enough to change.
Perhaps I was strange to begin with...
