pity you cant though, There should be discounts for multi cars taxed by same private use owner. Gonna cost loads whe i get my full fleet on th road, not like 6 months is cheap either.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

6 months is a joke now. Was 92 quid (or close) on XYJ for that. Planks.
Oh well, no tax to pay at all anymore <laffles> ;D

I tried to do swap tax when its MOT expired, turns out that you also lose a month and then wait for it to return, by which time you buy some magic beans which you have to give to the secret otter etc etc..... pain in the butt basically. I rather like bstardchild solution....

trick is to cancel before the end of the month, then buy one beginning, then wait to be given your cash back...
Congrats on the new 'scort BTW. Whats the plan for the duo now? one modest daily, and one track warrior/show car?

As others have said, send it back for a refund and buy another, you'll lose about £16 if you have to wait for a month to get it back, but at least you still get it back... What price freedom? Taxed my Mk2 Transit panel van today, another summer of Ford based traveller love coming my way. £96.50 i think it was, a bargain for me, but a veritable pennance for the poor sods that have to queue up behind me on any single carraige road that I choose to use... Stroll on

Ahh - little known fact - minimise the losses As long as you get the letter to the DVLA with the tax disc enclosed franked before the end of the month This generally means you have to stand in a Q that stinks of p iss on the last day of the month

this ones a run around, got a modding budget of about a hundred quid. the silver ones going grey, and an hengine conversion is on the cards. then I'm going to give the beige one to my mum, so she can learn to drive

if it's not for long, swap the plates and use the same disc. you can almost guarantee that the DVLA will lose it, or post it to someone in Finland, or accidentally set fire to it.
It's not like you're robbing them, as long as only one car is on the road. All that'll be wrong is the colour, but how many retro cars are the same colour as it states on the V5?
