BUT, absolutely love this car - custom like it was meant to be. Individual, unique... Sod the car, seeing yoof showing real individuality like this has changed my whole Daily Mail outlook on the future ;D The trad custom guys don't like this sort of thing though. You're not allowed to use the old tricks and styling queues on modern tin apparently, it looks like curse word apparently. Surprising how cliquey the custom crowd can be about what one should and should not do to a car. One word. Poppycock. ;D

well yes, of course it is! I've seen a fair number of non-traditional base vehicles turned into some absolutely excellent custom cars and they all seem to attract grief from the trad crowd. Personally, I'm not sure what their problem is, maybe they're worried that things like this Corsa are watering down their scene which sometimes can seem more about customising by numbers than doing anything innovative... Still love the old custom stuff though, just beyond my means to build and run one, so like Ditch I work with what I've got which surely is what customising is about.

Nice weather, meant I could get the vac out and give it a good tidy. Cleaned the usuals, then cut the 'universal - fits nothing' mats to actually sit in the footwells. Cleaned a TON of curse word out the boot, moved the beach mats from the rear shelf to the booth floor, covered my tool box with the blanket (bloody usefull for getting a kip at service stations at night) and just made room to actually use it. Looking into a stealth floor at some point seeing as I don't carry a spare now but there more important things at the moment. Also I removed the dash surround to paint some checks inside the curve (subtle and almost hideen but there none the less) and I'm kind of liking how it looks without it on, am I alone with thinking this? Thats yer lot for now

Could you trim the pod peak down so it's closer to the clear plastic of the instrument display? At the moment it looks unfinished, there's potential there but it needs something to make it look deliberate rather than having a piece missing. Love this picture.

I could possibly make a tiny cowl from a thin sheet of metal maybe, to hide the screw plates but Idont want to cut them off just incase I ever want the cover back on, I think drawing a sketch might explain that easier mind you!

Little update, Needed a new shock, 2 tyres and she's now got a fresh MOT. Then my handbrake cable snapped, so thats more money gone on things that could have been some nice little presents but ah well, shes road worthy and thats the main thing These happaned the day after the MOT (Rough, but looks good 'in car', and subtle) Sits in the spare wheel well, carpet cut around to fit, also fixed my door speakers, sound quality is MUCH improved Exhaust repairs, I hate reversing onto these things... And I NEED it this low, but don't have the money to do arch work, notching, raising, etc. Yes, I love impracticallity

Curious to see the instrument pod peak in situ, I image it'll look pretty good.

Cheers guys, and I grabbed a pic of it in place for you Volks Bet you these look amateur and so on, but it hides rips and tears, and so on, and wasted a night of boredom. and yup I'm catholic so they aren't just meaningless words _HIT_ Dash is in And believe it or not these are hubcaps, I'm after an oversized set for a tinker, won't be anything permanent or serious -@ One last one.. worth digging into my paint to attempt this effect?

I once almost bought a really shabby black 1970 buick which had an old icon glued to the sunvisor. Looked like it had been there a loooooooong time. Somehow really fitted the weathered leather interior.
Also could you make your sig a bit less... Migraine inducting?

I can indeed, was a favour for Joolz, but I have to agree on this forum it is a bit... intense. Not so bad on the standard white forums, give me a few mins of tinkering.
Any pics of the buick in general? Sounds interesting

It was several years ago, but here's one of google like that one, but rusty and with bits of filler falling of it.. Actually a bloody hard car, but was quite overpriced for the condition.
