Just read about this stuff over on a Lotus Elise Forum.
Now, I own 2 different cars, fitted with probably the 2 engines with the worst rep for HGF from the last 40 years, the Dolomite Sprint 16 valve, and the Rover K series.
Any possible early detection of any problems would be of benefit.
This stuff presumably reacts to any combustion gases in the coolant and changes colour, honks your horn and slaps you in the face if something is up.
