Not normally a fan of audi's but that's a bargain - you could probably drive it away for 400!
Always go for as much T&T as poss, leave the rest to how daring you are (lancia!)

Only ones I'd even consider are the Germans,but be sceptical of the 5 series,I've had two of them and they drove well but awful on petrol and the Sierra.
I can hear the rover breaking down right now and I live miles away.so incredibly unreliable it would be an achievement to get you home.
Oddly I put a thread up t'other day about a lancia dedra.bit like busses,haven't seen one for ten years then 2 come at once.
A car make where you get good cars that are reliable cheaply is Vauxhall,always get good ones for that sort of money,astras,corsas,veccys etc,loads for about £5-600.

500€ gets you Jack here in France. scrote TD for spares. "many repairs needed" 400€  Laguna.....450€  Fester..problems with gearbox, clutch, radiator, wheel bearing, water leaks, no heater and tatty bodywork. 300€  2cv van for restoration. 400€  slightly of interest is this taunus estate...450€ with no CT  Sadly, something that works and has papers here is closer to a grand unless you get lucky. |

how on earth is THAT worth 450Euro. It's scrap fodder, nothing really saveable apart from maybe the engine!? Did an elephant sit on that or something? Loving this. It looks quite similiar to the Royale we had over here. A little bit anyway.  Nothing says comfort like a four hour journey with plastic button in the buttock. Looks cool though. |

Out of the OP's list it's got to be the Audi or the Passat for dependable winter smokeage.
Basically the two are the same car, but for cheapness of parts and tip-run ability it's got to be the Passat.

Ok, I have had a longer look in an attempt to find something useable for under 500€ and its not easy. Most stuff is either Spares or Repairs, missing papers or the CT is out of date. A car that could be bought, registered and used straight away is hard to find. This talbot horizon seems ok. Good tyres, runs well and all papers in order. for 500€  Fiat palio - could these be any uglier? this one will need a clutch soon, but ok otherwise. 500€  This 91 sapphire is a trade in to clear. no other details, so maybe worth a look 500€  a 1978 renny 5, worth a look for 500€ no details in he advert.  or for only 486€ PER MONTH you could lease a new Sans Permis microcar...  |
