Blimey! Are they all S54s? That stretched nose not exactly graceful on them is it? Noticed some have vents on the rear pillars, are they later ones? C10 and C110 all genuine GTRs? This is lovely....

The C10 and C110's are GT-R replicas In regards to the vents on the pillars I'm really not sure to be honest, I would imagine it is perhaps a trim level or a later facelift of sorts.

Oh, forgot to say. That white car is my friends one, started life as a Datsun 240KGL Hardtop, L24 Single Carb, Automatic. Now is a Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R Replica (using genuine KPGC110 bits including, flares, spoiler, grille, tail-lights, and most badging), L24, Twin SU, 5spd Manual. This is what it looked like when Lachlan got it;

This is what it looked like when Lachlan got it; I have a picture of one of them at home being squashed by a Big Foot type thing in Belgium - aaarrggghhhhh It was in Street Machine back in the 80's. Has to be said that they look considerably less tough without the wheels and arches, and some might not see the potential if they didn't know about the GTR. There was a GT version of the S54 pictured in a shed here in Classic & Sportscar years ago. Did speak to the guy who'd found it, but sadly lost touch with him.

I have that picture, it's shocking to see!
Their look does change completely with flares and a full wheel arch, mine will be getting the treatment as money permits, slower process for me than it has been for Lachlan, the joy of life etc.
I have a book around here somewhere, I think it is a Classic & Thoroughbred? Something along those lines, shows an S54B, beside a hedge and a query wondering what the hell it is! I'll try dig it up.

Sorry, it was Thoroughbred & Classic Cars, March 1988 Edition, sold for 1.50GBP
Though hard to make out, I believe the licence plate reads SUV 803 F
Can one of you British chaps look that up on your fancy Internet plate database thing?

Interesting, possible to scan that in? Definitely not where I saw it, the C&S piece was in '93 IIRC. I'll look it out tonight. I drew a blank on the registration DVLA, under both Datsun and Nissan.

Possibly because it was a Prince?
I'll scan it in now for you, the scan will make it larger too, which is handy! ;D

Great! Good idea about Prince/PMC, but still no luck.
Amazing that a supposedly knowledgeable magazine didn't know a thing about it, or even the Skyline name. If it had been a 1921 Bagshaw Strumpet originally owned Lord Twazzock of Invergoolie they could probably have given chapter and verse about it.

I was puzzled by their lack of knowledge too, surely there would have been someone on the staff that would have at least HEARD of Prince Motor Company? Ah well... I wonder if the poor thing is still about, even then in 1988 it looks to have had a hard 20 years already!
