out at shows etc enjoying yourselves,i had a fraught 200 mile round trip to collect this baby As it turns out i had nothing to worry about,it made the return trip without a hitch. It was a 'bit' scary on the m62 what with the cross winds and the rain, but uncle bob in the chase car reckons i did 65/70 all the way back. jobs to do?,needs a good clean, the wiring needs checking,as someones added and removed stuff at somepoint so i have some extra wires, and to sort out the speedo over reading 20/30 mph! i'll post up some more and better pics when my cameras charged up,sorry if these are curse word kwality but its my phone cam.oh and its blue NOT purple or lilac like it looks in the pics.

plans? a good tidy up,and then a few period add-ons ,and leave it as it is.i may lower the front to couteract the crosswind problems,as being a mk1 imp it sits rather nose up and when the wind gets under it ,its like your not in control anymore.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Ooh nice After we spent the weekend before last watching Imps racing at cadwell Park my girlfriend has been making less than subtle hints that she would like one very much. I suspect we may have one before the summer is out -Ed

Hey Ed, If you can collect it (from Weedon, Northants) and if you can weld, then this Imp pictured below can be all yours free of any cash... It needs a bit of welding to the sills and the rear floor plus some work on a couple of the wheelarches (one has already been done). It will need some spanner work too but its tax exempt and saveable... and FREE to the collector.

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.

Unfortunately the procurement of any more cars is going to have to wait until the middle of June when I have a tow car again otherwise I'd be sorely tempted to come and get this one! At the moment I'm trailerless ...well not exactly, I've lent it out until my new tow bus arrives from Japan To be honest if I'm going to get her an Imp it ought to be a tidy roadworthy one as I've already got projects galore here, though tax exemtion might persuade me otherwise. I have to admit, I wouldn't mind a drive in an Imp again myself. Many moons ago I had a Chamois and it was ace.
