Had the morning off work so popped some new wheels on Cyril the Clubman......   and more oddness from the previous owner (which is actually growing on me and may not get ripped out). Overhead 'fasten seatbelts' sign and just noticed the RAC badges are illuminated and come on with the headlights  ;D   |

10 inch chunky black revos or silver minilights to fill those arches and it would be spot on IMO. Loving the period additions

Sure you know it is rare for me not to agree with the stuff you do, but have toagree in this case, the Minilites do not work for this little car.

Yeah, they're only 5.5" wide so I can get 165 60 R10 Yoko A008s from Minisport.
I actually bought them second hand (the work had been vouched for so I wasn't too worried) for £180 delivered.
They need a clean up but they're sound as a pound. Now it's just the decision of running the bandeds or the Wellers.

That should definitely have a 1000cc engine. Check the engine number, 99........ means it's a thou! checked the engine number against a de-coder I found on line..... Details Source Vehicle : Mini Engine type & CC : A Series 998 cc Transverse mounted Fueling : Engine features : Lucas C40 dynamo with -ve Earth Mechanical petrol pump Gearbox features : Std. Rario Remote control gearbox, 4 synchro' 3.44:1 final drive so it is a 1000cc, no idea why log book says 850??  |

no no no you can't put minilites on a clubman. they are for coopers and john cooper never did a clubman. Revo's all the way!

no no no you can do what you like to your mini as its yours just like I did lol I's his car, I just pay for it!! So I guess it's up to him what he wants to do with it. The Mini purists will be upset as he also wants to ditch the wood and chrome trim from the sides. I'm not arguing - I did similar things to my first car which was also a Mini - this one in fact...........  I also went for Wellers but think they were only avaailable in 10" flavour way back then  |
