Bought this from John (DTHP) the other day, thought'd I'd get some pics up as I've already started spannering it! Picked it up on a wednesday, Bruce was my chaperone for the day. Look, here we are looking all happy! And me, pimpin' it up.. And Jed, with some sausage roll.. Anyway, heres how it looked when I got it, more or less.. Cue roll home. Cue rain! Eventless (good!) drive home later, and a few days tooling about in it reveals the ride hight is not cool enough. Cue area 52 modding and some Photos stolen from Bruce! We found that Pajero rear springs are the same size as the front and a little stiffer. So we take off one and a quater coils from the pajero springs and fit. They raised the car 1.5" ;D World first- chopped springs raise the ride! Anyway, second try, we do it properly: And it looked like this: Awesome. Also the eagle eyed may have noticed the Mk1 GTI Golf splitter, which the holes for were already drilled in the valance. Ideal. So that went straight on. Found that also, the exhaust was made from metal leprosy, cable ties and bathroom silicone. That wont do! Considering it was the factory system its done well. Orf! Parts were ordered, and the cobbling began! Got this far, then promptly forgot to take more photos! Doh! More later on the fabulous exhaust. For now I leave you with another stolen bruce-photo and a massive thank you to John and Bruce for making wet daydreams a reality!

Cracking car, that! Looks great a little lower and with the Golf chin spoiler on. I'm amazed John didn't fit the spoiler when he had it - I think every car of his gets a Golf chin spoiler! ;D
Glad it's stayed in the RR family, and it's getting plenty of TLC.

It did have one, just went missing in the year or so he didn't own the car. Thought it was the least I could do. ;D Glad to own it! Its a great car!

LOVE this car. Even more now that it's got the rake & ride height spot on. As said somewhere else, it's lowered...not hardslammed. Just as it should be. Rich, you need to get a recording up of the 'fairy in the dash' lights on warning chime. It's awesome! When I get chance, I think a photoshoot is in order so that we can record that rake/stance better than the Sunday morning hangover shots I've taken of it so far

rich i am chuffed that the car has got the owner it needed, looks spot on now, i love the way the chin spoiler follows the shape of the front valance [looks better in body colour IMHO] in the time i was without it the spoiler was removed and the exhaust gunked up , how's it sound with a cherry bomb? the chromework and general look of it with the vinyl roof makes it one uber cool ride [it gets some looks!!!!] I know i,m biased but i think in your hands it will become one of the best rides on here! LOVE IT!!

I had one of these about 6 years ago. Fantastic Cars if a little vague on the steering (4 turns lock to lock!!!) I spent a fortune on a stainless system for it due to exhaust leprosey! Does your car still have the long, flat air intake tube before the filter? If so take it off and listen to that V6 growl

When I get chance, I think a photoshoot is in order so that we can record that rake/stance better than the Sunday morning hangover shots I've taken of it so far Photoshoot sounds an epic Idea. we need ash in on it too, J spec FTW! Will try to video the dash fairy soon rich I am chuffed that the car has got the owner it needed, looks spot on now, I love the way the chin spoiler follows the shape of the front valance [looks better in body colour IMHO] in the time I was without it the spoiler was removed and the exhaust gunked up , how's it sound with a cherry bomb? the chromework and general look of it with the vinyl roof makes it one uber cool ride [it gets some looks!!!!] I know i,m biased but I think in your hands it will become one of the best rides on here! LOVE IT!! Cheers dude For now at least I'm going to leave the spoiler black as it really sets it off against the paintwork, but plans and ideas change Sierra backbox and a Cherrybomb sounds fab, and is still quiet enough to not be a pain. But I think it is strangling the engine a bit so at some point I will start again and just go 3" all the way to the rear. Just needed something for now to keep it sounding nice Nice one . I've got a pile of new and used parts for 300C including exhaust parts and more. Will sell very cheap to a good home. PM me if you want to know more. Awesome, will be sending you a PM when I am back from A52 this weekend. You are a star! can't wait to get the rims I have here down to bristol!! Nor can I! hurry up KevTatTrain! ;D rich where does the parcel shelf attach too? and splitter works (unlike say a volvo one ) 2 towing eyes on the back, its all fine very nice! just needs some dish and it will be spot on! Working on that one Ryan I had one of these about 6 years ago. Fantastic Cars if a little vague on the steering (4 turns lock to lock!!!) I spent a fortune on a stainless system for it due to exhaust leprosey! Does your car still have the long, flat air intake tube before the filter? If so take it off and listen to that V6 growl Steering is very.. lets say.. american! ;D Stiffer lower springs help a lot though! Will play with that massively flat pipe this weekend, see what difference it makes. Sounds pretty sweet with the 'bomb though Phew! Any more?
