The other Sunday I went to a bike race meet in North Wales for what is termed 'The forgotten era' class of bikes; these are for bikes made between 1969 to 1992. Basically what the race organisiers have considered is not 'classic' and is not 'modern' (their words not mine so please lets not get into an argument of what is a classic and what isn't ;D) although some modern and much older equipment did turn up .
A lovely day of many interesting machines, also it was a 'very down to earth' race meet and thus did not have the megga buck image. In fact most transporter/service vehicles were Trannies/Bedford CF's/ Bedford CA's
Velocett valient - 'race/sports version of the famous LE Velocette; basically same flat-twin engine but air cooled.
Suzuki mechanically - but frame wise is this British?
Sidecar racing - by far the most entertaining
'Normal service vehicle' for team
