I will be there too in my much loved lancia integrale, its having cam belt done and re-map at the mo..... ouch! = no money for pressies! be good to see a selection of old skool retros, is it still at 5.30pm

Good stuff Joe. As far as I can tell nothing else seems to happen on the 3rd Sunday evening.
Hopefully this wont get snowed off or anything. I'd still be up for it in the snow, but I can imagine it putting off other people more. (Any excuse to take the mx-5 out in slippery conditions. haha.)

Hi ya, I'm new too and work in Taunton...just wondering if anyone can show up for these meets? Me and my fella got a few different cars between us...I got a mk1 XR2, another mk1 fiesta (not currently running) and a Smart fortwo but let's not talk about that! My fella has got mk2 Jag, Mazda MX5 and a merc E500 (there are more but I ain't gonna list em all!) Not sure when and if we can show but it'll be nice to pop round when we can to check out what everyone else has got  Aimz |

Yeah, anyone's welcome. The meet on the 19th was another moderate success, 4 cars 6 people, not a lot, but it's only the 2nd month and it was very snowy. We all had a good chat and a nice little play in the snow on the top floor. Bring on some better weather and a I hope this will become a good little meet.
Would anyone be up for meeting at 5:30 at the multistory as we have been, but then driving somewhere like a nearby pub or something for a mini retro convoy ending in food and warmth? At least while it's cold, then as the weather picks up we can either drive to outdoors places or just hang around and look at any interesting cars that have shown up?

Hi all sorry i let the side down, had family around so could not get away, will def be there end of jan, the integrale is running very sweet, 4 wheel drive helps this weather, i followed a mk1 fiesta from taunton the other day, anyone out there own that, it had a area 52 sticker on the back, nice to see people enjoying there retro classics what ever the weather, the amount of people that say to me "your not driving that around is this weather, should be tucked up in a garage" oh yes thats right leave it in a damp garage for 6 months and then wonder why everything breaks or has rusted up when i bring it out in the summer, i don't think so, i have used my lancia through 2 winters and off to london next week in it, never let me down, better than the usual boring euro boxes on the road, anyone else share my sentiments.....or am i just on my own here?

That fiesta you followed is Beckys, Bens other half, he did mention that a nice looking delta had followed him the other day actually.
I know what you mean about actually using a car, although I can't see my mini seeing much action in the winters once it's on the road. That salt is nasty stuff. Still, as long as its kept clean and looked after there's no reason to not use an older car all year around.

Just want to clarify the date of the january meet as there are 5 sundays in january, i hope its not the third the 16th as I'm working that one, anychance we can make it the 23rd which technicaly is the sunday before the last one..would be a shame to miss another one, cheers Lance

Just to be clear and to keep it simple it's the third sunday at 5.30 every month, no matter how many sundays are in that month? i'm definitely up for it! i may be a little shattered though. i'll be driving to france via dover for the day saturday for cheap stuff. a mate is paying for the fuel as he wants some seats for his beetle from dover! so we're doing a road trip! there's a spare seat or two! anyone else is welcome!
