OK folks, I should *hopefully* be painting me K70 soon, just wondering what kinda colour to do. I unfortunately cannot respray it in its original metallic blue, cos I can't do metallics just yet. So it's gotta be a solid colour. So, the question is, what colour do I go for? Answers on a postcard! (I was thinking something 70s-tastic, like a lurid green or yellow? Or perhaps something classier and understated, I just don't know!)

I think the blue looks really classy too. Do you have a reason to re-spray it?

The reason for the respray being, that shiny paint was hiding plenty of rust. That has since been repaired, and the car now looks like it's got some sort of blotchy grey primer rash.

I like the colour, but if it's to be resprayed, I reckon either brown, or orange.
(Cool car btw!)

Loften green as above, or brown would get my vote but I'd probably go for something similar(ish) to the original colour as it'd probably be easier wouldn't it? Not sure though, I know nothing about painting cars! I saw a nice '75 Mk1 Passat in yellowy/orange last weekend, I'll post a pic up later - that was a good colour for a K70.

Orange is always my first choice, depends if theres going to be a theme really but any period colour would work.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
