right. not updated this one in age's so here goes. got loads more welding done.. after finding out that the N/S was as bad as the O/S for rot! in behind the front wing was... well nonexistent!!! the A piler just had rotted away the even the bloke head had started to crumble! did take some photos of it.. but lost them on my old phone but heres the after repair shots you can see i had to make up a little gusset to replace the one that had rotted away.. hole were the battery tray was! all repaired ;D wing back on and front arch rolled then cleaned up the front panel and painted it along with the wing then had to replace the rear wheel arch.as again the wasn't to good!but was easy to roll the rear arch, when its sound metal delocked the rear boot lid.. then thought i would have a go at working out how shes going to sit.. so for now. i chopped the springs( going to run it on coilovers when its done) sits just about right on the 15"s but with the 13" and some 175/50s on it,should sit really low(just how we like it still enough room under there to get a jack in! now running on the Mk5 RS2000 rims.. they don't fill the Arch's out enough. looking at it.. i can go 2" wider on the rear. and an 1" at the front.. but I'm looking to stretch the tyres on the rims a bit. loads of room at the rear to do this, and still run low. but couple of things i need to work out.. i want to keep the 195/45/15 tyres as there like new.. but run them on some banded steels.. but i need a tad more offset than the alloys that are on it.. so question is.. do RWD ford rims have more offset than FWD ones do? and if so.. was there any in 15"??! was thinking that maybe pug 306,405 etc 15" steels might have better offset?? going to run the 15" on it for daily use.. but some 13" for show. so i can get it really low ;D the banded 13" shouldn't be a problem.. so theres were its at right now.. some help on working out the rims would be of help people

Didn't the Scorpio run 15" wheels and 4/108 PCD?
Saab 9000 did so that may also be an alternative.

not had a lot of time to play with this of late but done a little more picked up a set of 50mm lowering springs for it,as the coilovers were looking to be a bit out of my price range.. only thing was 50mm wasn't enough i want to go lower.. see to much room between the tyre and front arch! so i had a little play with the standard shock seat.. cut it of, sleeved it and the lowered it down the shock buy 2". so i ended up with a 100mm drop thats more like it.. BUTit had about 20mm of shock travel left! nothing like enough.. i looked at raising the shock mounts to get more travel.. but wasn't going to be easy as bonnet clearance wasn't going to be good.. but i did like how it looked and with the 15" on still had some ground clearance..JUST. so.. i got on the phone and this is what i got ;D also got 3ltrs of BMW 308 brilliant red 2K paint.. lot brighter than any ford red.. so should look just as i want.. only need to pick up some pug 15" steels to band.then i got every thing i need to finish it.. only thing i do need more of is time!!! really hope i make it for the Gathering?

Nice work Dude,
Still gutted about you selling the van, but this is certainly making a good project in its place. Loving the stance you've got going there and really can't wait to see more of this. In your hands it's going to be an awesome Fiesta. Keep up the good work..... ;D ;D

thanks all for your kind words.. as we all know.. it does help ;D Nice work Dude, Still gutted about you selling the van yeah.. me to. but its time had come.. shame really,as I still had plans for it.. one of which we have in at work at. Volvo 740 TURBO! with auto box.. would have fitted lovely in the van but back on track.. had an hour this evening to have a fiddle with the coilovers.. IT FITS ! only test fitting at the moment. but its looking like it should be OK. just! enough room for them! but I did have to loss the helper springs.. drive shaft still got room to move. and had a play with the camber to get a bit less negative camber. and still room for tyre movement! but its sitting good on the 15". so with some 13" on it should be stupidly low!!! but all in not bad for an hours play

well day of today! so had couple of hours to myself in the garage finished modding/welding up the coil over for the front.. cleaned up and painted. and I'm really happy how with it.. might need to get some camber bolts sorted. but i got negative camber at the moment,so should be OK.. only thing i want was a but more shock travel.. so i looked at modding the standard ford strut mounts.. so take the inner mount and the upper mount.. and worked out that the golf strut bearings (that's what I'm using on the coil-overs) would fit inside the upper mount cup, but not the lower mount cup (which is were it needs to be..) sooo... cut the tops of off both of them and re-weld them, one for the other and upside down!!! this then moves the shock up buy 1"1/2 (to give me a little more shock travel) but keeps the spring seat were it should be.. with me so fare??!! so how the bearing will sit inside the lower mount like it should do.. and the spring top cup sits on the bearing.. i might have to machine the alloy mount at some point to pick up on the bearing a little better. but will try it first, see how i get on.. cleaned up the top mount so you can't see the welds(to keep the MOT man happy and painted. then put it all together, and this is what you got! ;D also painted the inner wing, just to tidy it up a little.. will do all the under side in black when i get it up on the ramps. just to tidy it up a bit and keep the tin warm at bay! for now I'm going to leave the back end on the lowering springs,as its low enough already.. and because i still got a plan for a later date to change the hole back end anyway

just a little teaser.. ;D start to put it back together.. need to paint it at some point.. but for now she will have to stay in red-oxide! front has come down just how i wanted it still a bit of travel left in the drive shafts.. JUST! how much tyre clearance?? NOT MUCH hoping to get it out on the drive tomorrow for some fresh air! so will get some better photos then.. still planing on having it ready for the gathering.. its not to fare of now ;D

That looks fantastic so far, what kind of look are you going for? i might be making a bold statement here? but I'm aiming for what some now as the " south London look"!!! standard looking looking, but with just the right little mods to make it different.. low, wide, clean lines..etc.. that's the plan anyway

Looks well! Any engine mods planned? not for the moment.. but I have toyed with the idea of a non-ford lump?? even thought about a bike engine.. zetec would be easiest.. but every ones done that now and thats just not me ;D anyway.. she seen day light today.. first time in ages! she even had a wash!!! need to get it sorted now for painting.. but might just leave it in the oxide for now!!and I best see if I can find some nice looking 15" steels ready for banding.. so what we all think??? EDIT: i just been looking at my photos of it... and i don't know if it looks right on 15".?? I'm not keeping the RS rims its , but was going to keep the 195,45 tyres its rolling on. just fitted to some banded 15"steels.. but looking at it there, 1 its not low enough.and 2 thay look to big?? so do i keep the size at 15"??or band some 13" steels and run them on 195x50x 13" what we think??
