Hi All, I've obviously already got my Chevette HSR Rep, and bought the two door silver Chevette off here earlier this week, and today I picked this rare old beastie up, I've been looking for one for about three years and got this, and then bizarrely have been offered another tonight . . happy days indeed!    Evidently been vandalised, and needs a floorpan and sill but otherwise solid. The silver saloon and my other beastie . .    Cheers Mal |

I'm always going to want a 'loon Chevette, lovely shape and was what I was looking for when I got the Viva.
I'm sure there's someone near me that has a HSR Rally Rep too, always used to be outside a VW and Camper specialists.
Chevanne looks great and really clean! What are the plans?

New Screen, windows, headlining, side panels, headlights, front panel repair, dented bonnet replaced, drivers side floorpan replaced and repairs to bulkhead and chassis leg, n/s sill replaced, resprayed . . probably Jamaica Yellow with white side panels and MOT'd and used to promote a specialist Vauxhall Opel Retro Cars business . . unsurprisingly all about restoring and saving things like my HSR Rep (which was done between Easter and July 3rd this year despite working 70+ hours a week. . . . then I'll probably drop an XE in it with Manta Box and axle . . .

Sounds good, and a new Vaux/Opel Retro Cars business is fantastic news as well  thats a pretty amazing turn around on the rep. Wish I could accomplish the same kind of thing! Looking forward to seeing it progress  |

Looking forward to seeing it progress Given that I work anywhere from Canterbury to Aberdeen or Belfast and am away at least two nights a week it was a mega challenge . . but as the Northern Regional Organiser for the Chevette Owners Group it had to be done . . every weekend and most evenings, it cam out of the paint shop 6 days before Billing and I was away Mon - Thurs, the decals were fitted Thurs night at 9pm . . . Its a weapon though ;D |

Your not wrong there . . stick to what you know  originally served my time as an Auto Electricain, then went down the mechanical route at a Vauxhall dealer . . hence the GM allegience, and also why in another 18 months I'm jacking the day job and going full time restoring, saving and modifying these old beauties . . and the Chevanne is part of the plan The more Viva's,Chevette's, Kadett C's, Astra mk1 & 2's, Cav mk1/2/3 Carltons etc there are on the road the better it is for everyone ;D ;D |

So here we go . . . as most know this rough looking vandalised beastie was picked up a couple of weeks ago, one flat tyre, floor rotten on O/S, windows and lights smashed, keys stuck in ign, mirror knocked off, headlining and van inner side panels trashed . . . . and the exhaust is blown, and brakes all sticking . . as well as the welding to OS Floor, it need repairs to inner sill, chassis leg and bulkhead . . So it looked like this when collected . . and after a very busy morning it now looks like this (a huge thanks to MDA for sorting the screen and glass for me), and I've been saving the minty HS Rims for just such a purpose . .       A couple of gratuitous Orangeness shots . . oh yeah . . . and I need a bigger garage    |
