Afternoon I've just started to rent a unit in Bridgwater, and Volvo is in Yeovil.. It starts, drives, brakes, steers etc. but has no tax, test or insurance so it would be 30 miles of pure illegality if I were to drive it Anyone on here that may be able to help in return for money/booze/tobacco/your favourite currency?

cheers for the offer, Joe The problem is that I'm on a young'n licence.. And by the time I've shelled out on trailer hire, fuel for whoever owns the tow vehicle and a bottle of wine/crate of beer for the driver, it suddenly approaches the 60 quid I've been quoted to get it moved by a pro with a proper transporter and insurance and stuff.

Book it in for a MOT in Bridgy, then you can drive it to the MOT..
Be a shame if on the way the car broke down near your unit. You'd have no choice but to push the car into your unit to get it off the road and be legal.. and if it was really bad you'd have to delay the MOT visit to fix the problem 1st..
Just saying worst case... The Volvo isn't likely to break down is it!

Would be awful, eh? ;D Insurance is the problem in this instance though, because it isn't currently, and the day insure type people won't touch it because it's modified and I'm still a 'young driver', despite having had a licence for 5 years. I've gone for the totally safe and legal option and Shiply have received my deposit. It'll be moved during the next week.
