Question for any scimitar geeks out there. my dads Scimitar is a 1973 GTE with overdrive. it has got mudflaps on the front and on the back, are these original? you can just about make them out on here.. but on this pic, from sporting-relaints.com his car doesnt. I know it is really anal, but they really don't look very good so was wondering if they were actually original...

I don't know but I could happily live with 'anal' flaps if I had car like that!

Hi, Mudflaps were never an option with Reliant Scimitars, they were an after market thing that you could buy from any car accessory shop. I had a set for my Scimitar (over 8 years ago) when I first bought it, but I never fitted them. ;D

I'd take em off if you don't like em - screw the originality ;D My 1850 had flaps, looked quite good - new one doesn't and looks much better for it. Gets dirtier though Stops them damaging the arches too! Bonus!
