Model: VW Passat 1.9TD GL Year: 1992 Mileage: 230K Tax: April 30th 2011 MOT: March 25th 2011 Pics: Location: Plymouth Price: £500 Contact details: PM for phone number It's on 230K but it seems pretty good mechanically and it drives pretty well really (AAZ Engine), its got missing trim inside but most bits are in the boot and despite being in need of a clean it is unstained and in good nick. It's got a split on the downpipe flexy so it is a little bit chuggy, its just had new pads on the front too. The rear windows do not work but are wedged up, all the other electrics work spot on though. I bought it to use to drive to work and back and throw my bikes in, it's MOT'd until the end of March and will be taxed for 6 months. It drives pretty well, the brakes are a little spongy and the drivers door lock is a little loose on the outside. Body wise it isnt the best, its got a broken drivers door mirror and a rusty boot and the wheel arches are a bit scabby. The front is faded and its generally been used. But it is what it is, a useful wagon that you can use and abuse. But it's solid as a rock underneith. It's got a tow bar, its got an expensive Goodmans cd player in it, the sunroof and stuff doesn't leak, it has started first time every time for the previous owner (and myself) for the last year. Would be awesome for a cheap run around or as a useful work wagon.

Advert has been edited and a PM has been sent to a mod with full contact details. Any chance of getting it into the proper for sale threads now?

you got this off jay then it used to be mine about a year ago, its certainly looking a lot rougher since then, but like you say, really rather solid mechanically. oh and i replaced the cambelt+ tensioners just before jay had it off me, and the rear brakes+ wheel bearings, front flexis, and probably a few other bits and bobs, so its definately good for a while yet!

Yeah I got this off Jay, for more than its up for now!
I fancied a cheap way back into Vdubs and this was the cheapest most awesome thing about, but now I've had a bit of fun with it I fancy a change. Its not a bad car at all, it drives nice and it looks good with a clean. I'll upload some "nicer" photos at lumch time and see what happens. I'm open to offers for a quick sale.

Wheels are off an Alfa, like a 155 or something. They are compomotive, they have wobble bolts. Yes, its on UKPassats Interior photos to come when I've cleaned it Spent an hour or so on it today, it's a LOAD better than when I picked it up! Fixed the door handle, gave it a GOOD clean, sorted the wheel wobble and flushed the radiator. Just generally a days fettling with it. It's sweet now, needing just a drivers door mirror and a new downpipe to make it good. I sorted the faded front panel too I don't mind if it stays or it goes now!

Have just spent lunch break stripping down the rear wiper motor, so it's got a working rear wash wipe now! Have ordered a new drivers door mirror for it, have cleaned the door seals down so the doors don't stick, cleaned the wheels to death. Just the interior to do now then she'll be epic!
Will get photos of the interior up on Sunday.

How can nobody want such a beautiful beast?! I've spent loads of time and money on it recently, its looking pretty good now and is still being super reliable. I was getting fed up with the faded front end so it went black... Photos of the interior - Outside - And look at the new mirror!!! Six months rent in the window now too

Thanks, but no thanks. Bit too far for me to go, to be honest though if it was a 3 door and a little straighter I'd have been game. (But then it would have sold ages ago!)

As far as 5 door cars go this Passat is pretty awesome! I always wanted a B3 wagon since I was a kid because my dad had a GT when I was growing up, used to go everywhere in that thing. I'm more interested in a PX or a swap, I don't really care for money I'd rather just have a different car. But this FS thread will stay running as I keep it longer and do new bits to it, should have coilovers and a GT interior next week.

Had a guy view this last night, thought it was mint for the money but wanted to swap it for his Mk3 TD which I wasnt interested in. Again, any offers just send them my way. I'm by no means desperate to sell, I quite like it. But if something/somebody comes along it'll go

Nobody wants to swap? Offers? I drove 300 miles in this non stop on Thursday night, didn't miss a beat! Then drove it 300 miles back on Sunday with no issues. Buy it now and its got £103 worth of diesel in it haha! Did 208 miles before the needle even moved back down onto the guage haha...1000 mile a tank I reckon!

1997 Saab 900 2.0 16v Coupe S?
Red, aero alloys, electric windows/mirrors, leather steering wheel, lovely interior, PAS, (working) ABS, front fogs, MPG/distance left on fuel computer etc, central locking..
MOT'd Jan 2011, taxed end of month. Really good looking car but some dodgy paint on roof and a dent in passenger door.
Swapsies?
She's really quite nippy and will sit at 80 all day long and still give relatively good MPG (for a 2.0 16v Petrol Saab 38MPG is great!)
