As long as you re index the suspension the ride is not meant to be too bad with a lowered platform, or at least the chaps with Gaz Golds have been happy with their ride quality after coming from MO30s. Suspension setup (alignment etc.) really can transform a 944. It did help mine alot, but at a price... Looking great with the new bonnet Gav, and it sounds like the new Turbo has given the car a little more kick .

Always keep in mind, Porsche is a company that really knows how to engineer a true sports car. And the transaxle models are true breed sports cars, without any doubt. Drive a stock model on a racetrack and you'll really understand this point. Nevertheless they look much more amazing when they're slammed.

I have a rear beam with stiffer bars (i think) which I will be fitting this weekend.. The beam has 24mm bars re-indexed approx 40mm. I'm pretty sure I told you this?

I think you did, my memory is like an oap. Dave, i need a blue fuel pump, do you have one?
Also, i have just bought a Turbonetics adjustable waste gate so you can use my shimmed one if you wish.

Gav, the one in the S2 was a black one not blue as I had hoped. So I only have the one blue pump that I'm now running with.
I havn't had the chance to test out my manual boost control yet to determine if my gate is weak or not. My guess is that its bound to be so yeah, much appreiciated.
BTW, next time you are over I'd like a second opinion on a 3ltr crankshaft that I picked up. I'm hoping to use it with Kam's 2.7 104mm block...I still can't get that 3ltr 16v turbo out of my head lolz.

I'm toying with changing the wheels for more dish, more poke and split rim but there is nothing out there! I'm even willing to change to late offset, no wonder there are so few UK modified 944s, its so hard to get any good parts!

What about using spacers that work as adapters for other PCD?

Yeah I reckon you must be near the dish limit with the Azev's. My rear's have a nice dish but the fronts are lacking... These are late offset 3 piece Speedline rip-offs made by Artec. I'm planning to go back to 16's for daily driving. Out of interest, those 10J rear Azev's, what tyre width can you achieve without issues? I'm running 265 on mine but could easily go wider... BBS RS would be a winner Gav? But no Brembo bling on show! That rear wiper must be deleted...

Want to change the wheels for more dish and split rim but there is nothing out there!. I would have thought that image wheels would be able to make you up some split rim alloys in any size you choose.

Words cannot describe how much I love this car. I've always had a lot of love for it, but after Gav popped over to Bristol on Saturday and allowed me the honour of a passenger ride for the evening, the love has grown an exponential amount. And then some. WHAT A MACHINE! The least I could do in return was to take a few snaps. More pics to come. Gav, many thanks again for a truly brilliant evening/night. Boy did I enjoy it! We have to do it again soon....we have unfinished business. ;D

kaihellyeah - not a fan of adaptors thats a reason the OZs went.
Dave - 265 is the biggest I have seen on 10s, mine had 265s when I got the Azevs, now on 255 mich tyres. BBS in the size I want would be a couple of grand I guess? Dave it looks the nuts, I'm glad you got there in the end, wheels look perfect! Poke = how far the rim sticks out of the arch. Love the ebay wheels but the VW kids will be all over them, and they have more money than me because they live with their mums.
Porsche - I have called Image and it would cost £1600 for the size I have now in BBM.
Bruce- was a very cool weekend, I felt bad for getting ill , the photos look fantastic. Next time I pop up I will find some roads that suit the car a bit more!
Dave- I'm not getting rid, just want a 2nd set. Its been in this guise for 2 yrs and I'm a bit bored.
So, I went to Aera 52 and met a handfull of the chaps from here, all top fellas & nice to have met you. I feel a bit like ive met a hero (aside from bruce) when I see my car behind those doors.

Don't do it man ! Changing these wheels would be like Neutering a Bulldog, mid vinegar stroke !

Gav: I can understand that point of view. Since I don't wanna do that five lug conversion I'm stuck with the Audi PCD. But I found a nice way to go more extreme than the car is already. Though I still have to get the suspension set-up sorted out. This off-road look really sucks. I wouldn't change a single thing at your car though.
