Hello people,
Basically, I'm trying to get a letter together for a job application to a magazine, I want to become a journo, but obviously I'm going to have to start in the magazine as something else.
I'm after some do's and don't's, as I don't want it to be put in the bin.
I was told when writing to a mag, do not address it 'sir/madam' but instead the editors name.
I don't want to rate myself in the letter, but my enthusiasm/involvement in cars is very big, through working at a garage, racing, tinkering with my road car, etc etc. Raced since the age of 13, says it all really.
I'd like to include a rough description of that within the letter without 'blowing my own trumpet'.
All the jobs I've had have been through word of mouth, hence the reason for this post.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Adam.
