I quite like that. Maybe it brings back memories of my dad's old Orion Ghia Si (I guess they were back then the new Mk2 Orion 1.6i Ghia (Which I always saw as a sleeper XR3i). However, when will you hit that with a lowering stick? . Although I guess if it's a workhorse it makes sense to leave it . Also, I'd lose the bonnet raisers. Horses for courses though .

Remember Watchdog doing a feature on Ghia si estate - viewer took for p/x but no show on VW dealers database.Iirc Ford after some confusion said it did exist- only for Watchdog to find no records at Ford dealers So just when i thought it was only Si - it is in fact a Ghia Si estate.

yeah it's only on 45 profile tires, though I paid £40 for the wheels and tires, so even though there the wron profile I'm usuing em til' they need repacing.
Yeah I've had confusion as to what spec it was. Log book says Si, Ford says ghia, si and ghia si depending on what dealer I go to. :/
oh and on fords online database it comes up as a ghia si. Ether way it's fully loaded, so would outspec as ghia.

That;'s a nice old thing. And you know ford... always making strange random spec combinatiosn so i've no hesitation thinkin a ghia si estate could be a real model. Have gone through a stupid amount of sierras and granadas myself, and apart from the cosworths (both kinds) the model designation seems to mean nothing when it comes to the interiors, i've seen every imaginable trim combination, even a facelift one that had the pre facelift interior from new, very strange. It may only be small details, but almost every one is different inside it seems. Kind of parts bin specials on a mass scale.
Anyway, that escort should be a handy wagon for movin stuff about, only estate escort i ever had was a diesel one in white which i got for free, lowered it a bit, put some mk5 xr3i rims on it, gave it a straight through exhaust for a laugh (tractor soundtrack from filthy, lowered and battered escort estate FTW) took all the rear interior out and used it as my "van" for about 60,000 miles and nothin ever went wrong with it until the clutch finally gave up. Still sitting behind my mate house now after about 4 years, half stripped though.
The using an estate instead of a small van thing is gonna get more popular here (Ireland) again as "the man" really doesnt want us to use real vans if not purely for commercial purposes these days

Good news -had a check and Estate Ghia Si is def in car magazine and Price guide lists- iirc only Ghia x will outspec it - although Ghia Si will have sportier items missing on Ghia x
