Has anyone seen the old Vauxhall Nova advert where the delighted female punter drives around and over a building site, or the Le Mans style Astra GTE advert where the first driver refuses to hand over to the second one anywhere on the net?
I need some 80s VX coolness ;D

Cool! I thought I was the only one who remembered.
Plus there was the Nova / Astra / Cavalier "Club" special edition advert where the guy nicks a new Vauxhall off a transporter, set to "Runaway" by Del Shannon...
I'll get my coat ;D

That building site advert used to get right up my nose. That used to be my favorite advert!!! ;D I used to like the Renault one when the car leaps off the drawing board and gets slowly changed into a real one by the designer - I think it was a Renault 21 or something

Lots of old Pug ads on the cpuk website. Some cracking german ones! Also a great 309 GTi ad with a line up of all the 80's hot hatches showing just how well the 309 has aged compared to some of the other cars. www.clubpeugeotuk.org/downloads/video-gallery/309gti.htmlCan you spot them all?

Slightly OT but does anyone else get totally narked of with some of the drivel that Advertisers try to pedal cars with......
Notable ones at the mo
- Renault Schemic - thinks it's a dog and part of the family WTF!!!
- Vauxhall Zafir_Bin_Laden - Well not the car actually just those bloody iritating kids although the car is clever curse word!!!
There were some others but I couldn't be bothered to list them out.
Do the manufactures really think we are that stupid!!

Ask yourself if you are their target market? Me, I am not. So it doesn;t matter if I think the Fiesta ad is stupid or whatever as I'd never buiy one anyway regardless of if I liked the add or not. What about the damn Kia Picanto advert? Could just say "the car for dizzy blone bints"...

Those Vauxhall Zafira ads make me mad & inclined to start lobbing stuff at the telly.
Obnoxious, prissy brats... 'barratt showhome' housing development, dull as dishwater MPV for the man with the broken soul... Sums up just about every cliche going, with not a hint of irony. Disgusting.
And the one for the Nissan MPV thing is just as irksome... implying that if you have 2 children you MUST have this MPV thing....And that owning it IS exciting.
Vomit.

Ask yourself if you are their target market? that's just it though. For those MPV jobbies, I AM EXACTLY their target market... 2 young children, mortgage, reasonable income etc..... But the sales pitch just makes me angry. They may as well say: 'Buy a Zafira. You have nothing left to live for but to clothe & feed your offspring until you are old. There's no more fun to be had. Roll over, give up.' Balls to that!!!!
