Although born in the 70s (76 to be exact) I'm more a child of the 80's as those were my formative years. I was thinking about some of the words that were all the rage then but if you said them now it would be hilarious.
So, think of some words (usually adjectives or insults as they don't age so well.)
Heres some examples:
Fab (usually accompanied by a double thumbs up) Skill (means great or excellent) Spaz / Spacca (not very PC but still retro slating) Speccy Four Eyes - haven't used that for years. ;D Ace Brill Whoash (usually shouted out if I saw a nice car going past) - anything was better than my dad's Allegro.

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

Shouted out as a general purpose insult... Joey!! (Never had one good intentioned Blue Peter story about one brave man spread across the nations playgrounds SO fast)

I was born in the 80s so I missed out on a lot of that! Besides that I remember the 90s a lot better, but Scottish slang from the 90s onwards is just as hilarious! For a start, around here (West Coast/ Glasgow) the average Nova driving yobbish curse word is a 'ned', which is funny because thay hate being called it! To get your attention, they resort to a chorus of "Hol' you!", anyone caught wearing black is a Goth, or as the neds say, "a pure Goffic man!". I could go on like this all night, so I'll reccomend you go all go to www.glasgowsurvival.co.uk, for a whole website dedicated to ned culture, retro and present. Its a bloody good laugh! Finally, the words "Classic car" seem to be replaced by "pure banger man!" while a Nova in a bodykit gets cries of "Aw, pure mental man!" ;D Right, am awa man, see yees aw later!
