Need some help on this one...and you lot have the answers to most things
I need to upgrade the brake master cylinder on the Celica.
With Supra MA61 front brakes fitted (big single pot calipers) the current 7/8" master cylinder is a bit undersized, and guess the pedal travel might be a bit long.
Problem is the original mounting is very tight to the strut tower.
So as I've found out options are limited...
Good place to start I guessed was with a MA61 master cylinder.
Drew a blank on this one
Anyone got any specs/dimensions or photos of one of these?
I think they are 15/16" bore - but thats all I've been able to find.
My Toyota EPC doesn't help either.
Next I thought Wilwood will have something.
This is perfect spec' wise (1" bore and 81.8 horizontal mounting holes) but the reservoir will not clear inner wing
Next was their remote reservoir model - bloody perfect..except that the mounting pitch is 57.2 and vertical
They also do this one with the right mountings, but the reservoir is huge and will foul
I've tried AP, Girling etc. but they don't seem to offer tandem master cylinders aftermarket, just single circuit jobs for balance bar systems I guess, and I certainly don't have the space for that set-up.
So to recap I need a MC just like this:
1. Tandem/dual circuit
2. 1" bore
3. Remote, very narrow or reservoir located at servo end of MC.
4. Has the mounting pitch of the first Wilwood MC above (81mm ish)
Anyone got any ideas?
