Well here's one to look out for....
Yesterday, I place an idle bid on this rather well know green bug on t'bay...
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4630644256
.... safe in the knowledge I didn't have a snowflake in hell's chance of winning.
So imagine my surprise today when I recieved a 'second chance offer' letting me snaffle it for a mere £4000..... A lot less than the closing bid... and £6000 less than the buy-it-now
But then I thought, what happened to those other 4 people who all bid more than me? Why would they all turn it down?
And why is there no 'second chance offer' symbol showing in my eBay!??
Furthermore, genuine buy-it-now second chance offers have a clicky that links to within ebay. This one had a clicky that went somewhere else!
Now maybe this is genuine, (can the VW peeps confirm / deny?) but to me, it smells fishier than a grimsby slapper's snatchbox
