Nice work Alan,
I just realised that I forgot to add my pics of the milling machine move! I'll get them uploaded this week and add them here. They will prove that it wasn't just me that did the work..... ;D

Just caught up with this Alan, great work on the workshop etc.
The Maestro is stunningly clean for an old car.
I am sure you are chuffed to bits too.

Today was spent mostly up the barn as it doesn't cost anything I managed to fix the passenger door on the landy so it now opens I also emptied it of all tools, ratchet straps, bags of sand, cement and lime and also filled a sack with rubbish, cor SEATS! That bit of rubbish clearing got me started so I carried on clearing rubbish but this time it was from the barn. Landy filled again so of to the tip Back home again after stressing out following pillocks that have no clue about driving and think because they can see snow in the field it must be slippery roads and drive everywhere at 20mph Got the chainsaw out and chopped a few logs on the front drive, just to cheer up the neighbours Whats next.. Well as there is 5 inches of compacted snow to sit on I thought it would be a good time to change the front pads in the Maestro, well better than waiting till it melts and turns into slush The pads passed the MOT but on the way home the meat fell of Doing the other side in the morning

I was asked by Bruce to warm up area 52 ;D Source 1 47kg gas bottle and remove valve, top cage removed for access and had to weld a bar to the base so my son could sit on the bottle and stop it turning as the valve was tight Valve out and filled with water work could commence, first cut while still full was the chimney hole then just a little hole to let the water out again Pipe for chimney is sourced from an old gate post, chuck it on the saw and go make tea ;D Next hole is the door Door cleaned and some steel cut and rolled to make the overlap Bit of tweaking and a good fit is achieved Overlap should rduce airflow enough to enable heat control next is air in and hinges etc for the door, wonder if this has a use ;D

a few hours go by and I do nothing, yeah right Door hinges, these are off cuts from a steel bar at a chain factory, the bit the machine cuts off to get a square end before cutting the rest of the bar into little pieces Pair up in the vice and drill the beejesus out of em and weld to the door with a bit of steel offcut door also needs a handle, this just happened to fall out of my knackered steering box, drill a hole in the door and bolt through and a couple of offcuts of steel to keep it shut We need air, but it needs to be controlled. Bit of pipe, cut a flap to cover the end and with use of nuts and a bolt weld it to the pipe and then weld it to the burner next is to weld in the chimney stub, after drilling holes for damper plate block valve hole with a bit more steering box. still a bit warm methinks Damper plate in with short bolt to show open or closed And a bit more steering box as a handle, note weld blob, thats to stop it going full circle or shutting chimney off completely I welded on a base to keep the floor cooler, fitted really well into a vaux wheel rim And complete I just need to fit a baffle inside now to make the smoke/heat travel around the burner to extract all the heat from it instead of going straight up the chimney

Got a job at the moment to repair a length of asbestos guttering and replace another length. The one side was hit by the tractor and the whole length hit the deck I have removed the bracketry that held this up and took it home. I freed up the bolts that hold each bracket to the barns steel frame and replaced the threaded section which enables the gutter level to be adjusted. Actually I taught my 13yr old son to weld tonight so he welded the threaded section back on while I played with bits of Imp ;D Been stood a while but all nuts came undone ;D Brake piston looks good but bore is a bit iffy Will replace the adjusters will sit in some penetrating oil for a bit meanwhile up the Barn An RR member requested some plastic spacers, totally forgot but now on the case, taking 40mm nylon down to 25mm after drilling a 10mm hole up the center Just gotta cut to length now
