Went to the tip to get rid of a couple of old exhausts, and various other tat in my garage, got there, and the wedge has popped the crankshaft oil seal off. I think it's tryin to tell me something, it's only a £4.00 seal but a bloody annoyance!! So proof, never throw ANYTHING away, as the tat, will in some kind of way, have its revenge....

exactly. i chucked away some random exhaust bits i had lying around.. and now the new car requires a bit of exhaust repair...the pipe ive binned would have been perfect...never throw anything away

i hoarded a pair of scirocco front seats for 4 years, were meant for the 1303 but never got around to modding them.
mum chucked them in the skip, 6 months later i buy a scirocco and the drivers seat breaks.

MY dad binned my complete VW Type 4 engine and carbs, three weeks later my engine went........my god i was angry .....still haven't quite forgiven him....
