What an odd beast! Like a Mk2 Escy... with the wheels in the wrong place! Bet that thing goes like stink though (and I suspect that's what it's all about! )

its cool, but at the same time i don't like it.
its abit minging at the front, and the wheels are so wrong... and could he have not been abit more imaginative with the colour!!
but the concept is good, and its well done.... so i like it, but i don't...

from what i can gather it is a legacy underneath, with escort panels made to fit it. so its also 4wd. i like the concept of a lighweight 4wd proper handling car but, i don't like the fact theyve done it to an escort.... its just wrong!!!!!! it should be steer with the rear!! Yo latham! aint seen you for around for a while, spotted your moor door in retro ford i think. you'll ahve to try adding us to msn again

Ooh, erm, yes! i think...... I'm not sure if strapping mk2 Escort panels to it should make it appeal to me, because it isnt a mk2 Escort..... Its just the shell bieng propelled around by a modern car..... Its like a very fast mk2 escort carnival float! ;D

i hate it. ugly ugly wheels. itd be much better if that running gear was slapped in something less expensive as a mk2...why not just buy up a dirt cheap car and slap the floorpan in. makes more sense to me.

Interesting idea, but parts of it don't really do anything for me, a more retro set of wheels might have been nice and personally I'd have kept a mkII Escort dash in there rather than the carbon fibre Impreza thing he's put in. I bet it's a competitive car though, it'd be cool to do something like that in the sleeper style, maybe use a standard looking 4 door Escort shell with the Legacy engine and running gear, keep the interior looking as stock as possible bar a decent set of supportive front seats etc and any floor mods necessary, a set of retro steelies that wouldn't look out of place on more standard Escort, on the whole just create a car that gets the hot hatch kids laughing, then wipe off the smile when you leave them sitting! ;D ;D

Seen the idea done before a few times. Remember that Fiat 126 round in the late 80s which had a shortened / narrowed Audi Quatro rally car under it! Looked stock excpet for wider arches. It was neatly done for sure. Seen a couple other floor pan transplants too. Generally they look very wrong though, like that Moggie Minor traveller on a Citrroen BX floorpan? Really odd proportions.
The Escort looks all wrong to me. I bet it does the job though.

A Moggy Minor on a BX floorpan? Surely a RWD floorpan would've been more appropriate, a FWD Minor would feel a bit odd surely?
