I'm in the hope that someone here will have the time and knowledge too help, and i might uncover some immensely useful nugget of info as often appears on here!
We finished the 411 on sat and decided to reconnect all the wires. Everything went back, but we have probs and spent HOURS trying to trace it.
Basically the lights work on sidelights (the outerside lights on each side). On main beam just the driver side gets brighter, and then with full beam on the two inside lights come on.
Indicators don't work, but hazards do. Hazard lights on front of the front wings don't work though. Also, when the hazards are on the fuel gauge was jumping up and down. Oh, and when the sidelights are on the fuel gauge reads low, main beam and you see about half a tank, and then nearly a full tank when the lights are on full beam.
I'm guessing its a bad earth (to start at least), but I'm bad with electrics and havent a clue where to start with pinpointing. Anyone who might be able to look at the wiring diagram and help me work this out will be guaranteed beers at CARS! ;D
A wiring diagram can be found at
www.vintagebus.com/wiring/index.html You want the 1972 spec 411.
I have checked and cleaned all connections on the back of the clock, and also the front and rear light connections.
Cheers guys.
