Ive got a notice board that has various pictures and things that ive collected over the years. Quite a few of the pictures are from santa pod in the early 90's when i used to go with my dad. Also my old car, projects ive done etc etc This is a picture of my old car, a sunbeam stilletto, it also had gold alleycats later on in its life, but shortly after they were fitted i crashed it. Not a small crash but a massive one that shut the A272 for 4 hours, well i learnt from it, drive appropriate to the conditions. I was just going too fast for the greasy roads ahh well! Around the same time i built my GCSE project bike so here a piccy of that These are from santa pod years ago, the first is sammy miller in his rocket car 'vanishing point'. He ran an incredible 0 - 386 mph in 3.58 seconds within the 1/4 mile, total mentalist! This was also at a similar meeting, a saab 900 bodied funny car running on ethanol if i remember rightly A few years later thses two were taken, the anglia ended up on its roof if i remember rightly. Supremely quick though! And finally a parting shot from the turbo imp, gotta love that whistle J

cool! was the stilleto your first car? what mods did you do to it? what GCSE did you do to be able to build a bike? i don't have a notice board, i have a wall pretty much just full of pics of my red skoda, and then loads of retro cars posters, plus a huge skoda sign, but no notice board...

Yeah the stilletto was my first car, i just did the wheels and a stereo, oh and a home made 4 into 1 manifold and silencer that made it sound like a touring car! Once crashed i realised it was made from filler, one side was up to an inch thick!
I did the bike in design and technology, big too big really but i had the best teacher. Ratlook knows Mt Cross, hes a Leg end!

Some great pictures there! I remember seeing that 105E at Santa Pod too. Here's a pic of the wall above my work bench. C&SC calender Copy of artwork for UK Kustoms mag with characature of me and the Oxford Some hot-rod pics inc Sorchik Bonneville page taken from Rodders Digest years ago. Oxford heritage cert. Hanging from the light is a lotus elan cam follower with dad college days implications. Right at the top you can just see my Watts pinstriped plaster cast (skateboard, kerb, wrist) and a 56 California plate Framed on the left wall are three letters, one from LJK Setright (Z'L), one from George Daniels (greatest living watchmaker) and Richard Noble of Thrust fame all with words of encouragement. Oh and a pic of the wife at her graduation and the daughter

Still going strong! I'm told this was built by the guys that work on my friend's daily driver, down in Colwick in Nottingham - got lots of photos of it being built in their workshop apparently. dunno how many times it's been re-incarnated since though.

blownimp in da house: Whats on your notice board?
Tons of Bike & Car related stuff (on the board in the workshop at home) but my prized possesions on the board in the Flying 8-ball Bar are the Best in Class ribbon Vovven, my Galgo EspaƱol won at the 2005 Greyhound Dog Show, my ribbon for 3'd place in the European Championship Islandic Horse Show 1998 and the Best Bike and Peoples Choice award at Hot Rod Show Stockholm in 1976....

Good idea for the thread, nice bike, nice car. I tend to just have various locations of curse word and tat or random pics/reminders on the wall. Leftovers of my new signature in my old room. In the middle of contructing the new office/edit room at new Reanimation Villas at the mo, that might see an organised notice board. trimmings will include mini, delorean etc post cards from classic museum, a gorrillaz buggy 'jeep' poster, some choice ladies if i can get away with it and a schedule calender

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
