Looks like you had great fun! Can't wait to get out in the locost again Just something to note, 25psi is probably a bit high, should probably be aiming for about 20psi.

Oddly enough today we went with 20PSI as felt the 25 was a bit high and it handled perfectly, so you know your onions! When it broke away it was progressive and recoverable. Dan managed to lose and catch it three times on one turn which was fun to experience!

Final trackday photos: The snow on the dash (not sure if came up under windscreen or the vortex pulled it in as rest of cabin fairly snow free (considering car with no roof)): And when we finally got in it on the drive:

Thread ressurection! After sitting on my mates drive since mid-2011 we finally got around to moving it to it's new home. Had to trailer it and was a pig to move as front brakes have seized a bit. Sitting in new home - List of jobs - Check engine still turns - check Check water level (can't remember if we even but coolant in) - level was very low but have topped up and appears not to have leaked. Start engine - battery dead as disco, on charge will see what happens Managed to fit steering rack restrictors as on full lock the wheels rubbed on the chassis. Never an issue when driving, we only noticed it when manoeuvring by hand. Fitted new gaiters as well. Next job is try and fit some harnesses. Try and mix dull and fun jobs to keep mojo going.

Had some time on the Dutton, enough to remove the cracked manifold - I'd had a go at welding it to pass the noise test for a trackday and it sort of worked but figured it would be an MOT issue so I brought it into work. Having some assembly done on site and had two welders, coded to 80bar pressure who were awaiting paperwork to start - so I asked nicely and this is the result - The white scuzz is my attempt to bodge it previously.

Other minor work - old battery was dead and could not get a Ford screw style battery at all so had to upgrade to the 'modern' clamp style.

Shocked by quite how long I've had this car! Finally had a bit of time to sort this. First item was seatbelts. Originals are static Ford items and never inspired much confidence. I got some harnessed to try but connected to the original mounting point on the roll bar were looking very dodgy and a funny angle. Also noted quite how badly welded on the mounting point was to the roll bar. So after looking around for a solid mounting point decided to use some heavy duty base plates bolted through the tub into the chassis with eye bolts. These end up being in the boot as only safe and solid location that worked. It did mean I had to cut a hole in the rear bulk head for the harness to pass through but would rather have working harness than a hole free body. Now I won't fall out on corners I could do with making it go. So far I've sorted various electrical gremlins, cleaned the points and finally get a spark on the plugs, success! This took longer than expected as it's been ages since I've played with something so basic and needed to remind myself how all this worked. Not seen one of these in a while - Now at the point I think it will be ready to start, but despite gauge reading 1/4 tank I believe the tank was empty. Certainly getting nothing to the mechanical fuel pump and I've sucked on the fuel line in the engine bay and get barely a whiff of fuel. Will have a fiddle and try and try and sort with some helpful hints from guys on here.
