Gorgeous car and as always a crazy old 16v redblock with a monster turbo ;D I believe that the old redblock Volvo engines are just as, if not more tuneable than the later 5/6cylinder whiteblocks and stronger in the same instance. It'll be interesting to see what results! On a side note, I know of someone in Sweden is currently putting a 6cyl twin turbo engine (from an S80 T6) into a 360

ive heard rumours that those 6cyl volvo engines arent as suitable for being huge boost monsters as the good ol 4 pots?
love a good volvo engine me.

Yep, it's an all alloy straight six, very compact and light engine actually, that's the engine that Volvo replaced the old Douvrin V6 with, the 760 was the last car to use the 3 litre Douvrin, then the 960 used the straight six. Lovely engines, I have a LWB 960 myself, only 200bhp standard, but the torque output must be pretty good because the 960's a rapid car for its size. They also use them in a transverse layout nowadays in the S80 and XC90, including as the T6 with a pair of turbos attatched and 270 bhp.
