Finally got around to registering on here after lurking for a year or two, I always seem to keep coming back to look at the 'abandoned ones' thread!
Thought i'd share a few pics of my retro rides.
First up is my Jetta purchased in Feb this year. The old guy over the road from my uncle purchased it brand new from Newbolds vw garage in '89. He's garaged it since new until he gave up driving last summer at the age of 88, his grandson ran it for a while after that. It's had done just 32,052 miles from new. Needed a clean as the inside was a bit grubby a polish on the outside and blackening of the trim. There's also a small dent to pull out on the front ns wing but it hasn't split the paint. Still got the original dealer plates and sticker on it too.
Results after this were:

Next up is my caravan, its a 1976 Predom Prespol (they became Freedom Microlites in the early '80s) I bought it originally to use behind my beetle but didnt get it finished before the beetle went. I've had it two years and finally finished the inside a couple of weeks ago in time for run to the hills vw show! ;D
I'm now in the process of sanding off all the white emulsion on the outside back to the original cream. It's all fiberglass and weighs in at just 365kg!
It looked like this when I bought it!
I've also recently bought this to keep the miles down on the Jetta!
