I'm looking at a particular set of Mag alloys for one of my cars, they will need cleaning/refurbishment, does anyone know anywhere in the South East area that deals with Mag alloys? I tried Spit and Polish... they said they don't do Mag wheels, so can anyone else help? failing that I guess I can get them chrome dipped but thats gonna be pricey I'd imagine.
Cheers

You need to try someone like Dymag....or Minilight They will need X-Raying and then phosphating as Mag corrodes really quickly especially with heat/water and brake dust Seriously, get them checked out properly by people that deal with Mag wheels all the time HTH Dom

yeah mag wheels can be really dodgy, all of the Brabhams at work have mags but very rarely originals as they corrode and go crazy. Least least of the problems is tyres going flat, the worst is the rim blowing off in tyre fitment, or the wheel falling apart under load.
Light and strong under the right conditions, but can also be fragile and dangerous.

Are you sure they're magnesium? www.lepsons.com did mine (via Steve at DS Engineering), but I'm unsure what they'll say about mag rims.
