Just thought I'd float this as an idea to see if there is any interest.
I have a property that I rent out in Atherton (about half way between Bolton and Wigan - 5 mins off M61) that has a good size back garden and a single garage. The tenant has just moved out so i'm thinking of sub-dividing off two thirds of the garden and the garage to make a compound/yard for the keeping of cars, trailers etc before re-letting the property seperately.
There would be about 1600 sq ft (single 16'x8' garage and compound combined - maybe 8 cars with plenty of space, possibly up to 12 if in tightly!), tucked away behind houses and gardens so quite secure (also some trees to help screen it from neighbours). About half is already concrete and the other half is lawn. It would need some fencing / gates and the lawn taking up and some hardcore going down. potential to add another garage or two or maybe a large car port type structure. Also potential to add electric / water / drainage from the house (maybe pipe up to a cheap caravan for some facilites).
I would be struggling to do it all myself at the moment time wise (baby, mrs, camper conversion, work, possible house move) so wondered if anyone would be interested in sharing the space for an agreed rent free period in exchange for getting involved with setting it up, eg digging, fencing etc etc etc
Just an inital idea but need to decide if its worth doing pretty soon before I advertise the main property to let.
