Once again I made my annual 5-mile pilgrimage to this, the 11th annual Classic Car Day at Webb's of Wychbold, one of (if not the) biggest garden centres in the UK. It's always pre-book, and usually they are fully-booked by Easter, such is its popularity. The downside to this is that the same cars tend to reappear year after year, but despite this it's a pleasant way to while away a few hours.
The usual Bank Holiday weather held off for just long enough to get round and see everything, although a monumental rainstorm hit about 5 minutes after I left. The sun always shines on the righteous.....enjoy the pics.

Alec Issigonis designed the Morris Minor in 1944 to take a flat-four engine, but the Cowley bean-counters turned down that idea in favour of the pre-war 918cc sidevalve as fitted to the Morris Eight. The owner of this Moggie van had taken Issi's idea a stage further with an Alfa-Romeo engine. Unfortunately it was surrounded by puritanical old giffers coughing up Steradent and gnashing their false teeth which meant I couldn't get a decent shot of it. ;D

Very early Bedford CA mini-bus, oozing period charm. Christ they were ugly, though. That thing's uglier than Fred Dibnah chewing a coat-hanger.

My mate Terry only ever brings this incredible 6000m from new Clubbie out of its heated garage for this show. He's still using the A4 showcard I knocked up for him 10 years ago when we were both members of Redditch Mini OC. Unbelieveably he's thinking of selling it, I wish I could afford it!
