'67 Firebird, first production car to feature a pillarless design I think. Actually forget that, its a few years to late for that accolade, but i'll leave the piccie there. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ![](http://www.innercrisis.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/1967_pontiac_firebird_blue_side_angle_nf.jpg) Citroen H van, first front wheel drive commercial van, also the first to feature a sliding sideloading door. ![](http://www.lottiethe2cv.co.uk/images/H%20van.jpg)

Ford scorpio, much maligned, last rwd european ford. If more people were brave enough to get past the strange looks, they'd find an extremely comfortable and dirt cheap big cruiser. ![](http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p185/asphaltrisin/scorpio.jpg) Last European Ford car, maybe, but don't forget the Transit! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Completely agree on the looks - I always liked the Scorp.

the first mass produced 16v car triumph dolomite sprint (the dolomite sprint was also the first mass production car to have alloy wheels as standard Wouldn't the first mass produced 16-valve car be the first ever V8? Or if you mean 4 cylinder 16 valve, what about the Ballot? A friend of my dad owned one, until he sold it very recently. I saw under the bonnet of it, a beautifully made thing. Two litre four cylinder, with twin overhead cams and 16 valves. I can't remember what year his was, but I know it was early twenties, and they started making them in 1921. ![](http://www.motorbase.com/pictures/contributions/990913/std_1924_ballot_2lt_roadster.jpg) Apparently there's only five cars remaining, and none left in their native France! There's three in Australia. ![](http://www.motorsnaps.com/d/3858-8/Ballot.jpg)
