Some photo's of what I've been upto... Going for the 'Flintstones' look... The old boot floor... A bit more chopped out... ...but some new metal is going back in... (the surrounding area is not as rusty as it looks in the picture, BTW... just how the photo came out...) And in the twinkling of an eye, two Astra estate spare wheel covers... ...become a Rambler boot floor repair panel!! (Blue Peter? PAH!!) That's all for now, hopefuly I'll get some more done over the weekend...

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

I'll remember that trick as I have a ribbed boot floor to repair in the Plymouth.

Thanks for the kind words, it helps keep the old enthusiasm up... I wanted to get a section of van or estate floor to make a repair panel, but the bloke at the scrapyard wasn't interested in cutting a piece out for me , hence the slightly 'Heath Robinson' approach... those covers are bit on the thin side really, but they'll do, and be better than the rotten original...
