No theres no way its going to match a Glass car But then the power to weight will still be better on the Kadett ;D ;D Yep new engine is here and well on the way to being RWD ready and Supercharged The Bellhousing and clutch has arrived, type 9 is here supercharger/engine mountings and chargecooler will be done shortly ;D

Car was weighed with full tank of fuel no driver, and with tools, bellhousing clutch and chargecoolers. FL 204..........FR 228 RL 200..........RR 193 Was pleasantly surprised ;D I think 700kg was a bit ambitious, but 750 should be acheivable Engine will be lighter, gearbox about the same Tank lighter, but Axle will be heavier I was amazed at the near 50-50 distribution though Got it set up properly as well and it handles and tracks a lot better now.... Keeps getting better all the time and makes me smile everytime I get in it ;D

I remember the 1256 chevette engine being very light and easy to handle probably round 70kg mark . Piazza axle seems curse word heavy though, but should help balance the car even better

The imp engine is only 75Kg so the chevette motor must be heavier.
750Kg aint bad dom, and the distribution is pretty good, i wonder what its like with the driver?

I thought engine and box only came to 100kg. I remember picking one up one handed and swinging it in to the back corner of my garage many moons ago so cant be that much.

Yow! I don’t think I’ll try and extort any dinner money out of you then.
Those Pizza axles weigh a fuggin tonne, I nearly gave myself a hernia lugging one into the back of my GF’s car. Luckily I had my reinforced safety hernia kegs on so no harm done.

I`ll weigh the Kadett lump when I get home The 50-50 split was as it comes ;D Will get worse with the driver on board, but I wanted an Idea of where it was before I start moving stuff around to compensate It will also get heavier with the Cage in, but thats a sensible weight addition Battery will be moving to the rear, New Bag tank will be going in where the rear seat should be. Remove spare wheel Remove sound deadening Possibly remove existing rear floor section and replace with big Venturi/Tunnel ;D May go polycarb Rear windows and F-Glass Tailgate later, not needed for the minute though
